"Usually works, but can be a little frustrating"
I use Safeway.com often for grocery orders, usually when I’m trying to get things done quickly and don’t have time to run to the store. For the most part, it works fine, the site loads okay, and my orders usually show up around the expected time.
That said, there have been a few times where items were missing or the replacements didn’t really make sense, which is annoying when I’m already feeling rushed. The app and website can also be slow, and customer service is just okay, not especially fast. Overall, it’s not bad, just kind of average.

I ordered groceries from Safeway the packing was really solid. Compared to some other delivery orders I’ve gotten, this one was way more put together. The cold items were still cold, the bread didn’t get crushed, and nothing leaked all over the bags. It sounds like a small thing, but it definitely makes the whole order feel better. Happy with it.

"Delivery fee felt totally fair"
I used Safeway delivery this week the delivery fee seemed reasonable, definitely cheaper than me driving around after work when I was already tired. It was shown clearly at checkout too — no random surprise charge at the end. My groceries showed up on time, so overall I was happy with it.

"Fresh produce every time"
I’ve ordered produce from Safeway.com a few times now, it’s been solid each time. I know you’d expect groceries to show up in decent shape, but with produce delivery, that’s not always guaranteed.
The apples, lettuce, berries, and avocados have all arrived fresh and not bruised or old-looking. I was a little unsure about having someone else pick them out, because common sense says that can go either way, but whoever picked mine did a good job.

The prices were fair, and delivery was easy, so it saved me a trip without feeling like I had to settle for lower quality. The fruits and veggies were pretty much what I would’ve picked myself.

"Bad first impression, but it mostly works"
My first impression wasn’t great because the deals took forever to load and the app felt kind of glitchy right away. Checkout usually works fine once I get there, but the slow loading makes it a little frustrating to use.

"Pretty easy way to get groceries done"
I’ve been using Safeway.com for groceries it’s been simple. I can usually find the stuff I buy all the time without digging around forever, and the search works better than I thought it would. Adding things to my cart is easy too, and changing the pickup time wasn’t a whole thing, which I appreciated...
I also like that it remembers my past orders because that saves me a lot of time when I’m just trying to reorder the basics. Checkout was smooth and I didn’t really get stuck or confused at any point. Overall, it’s just a handy site when I need to get groceries done fast and not think too much about it..

"Refund came through faster than I expected"
From what I remember, one item was missing from my Safeway order, so I put in a refund request. I was expecting it to be a whole thing, but they credited it back quickly with hardly any back and forth. it was smoother than I thought it would be

"Meat and seafood have been surprisingly good"
I’ve used safeway.com for delivery a handful of times lately, and the meat has actually been really fresh. The salmon was the one I was a little unsure about, but it didn’t have that fishy smell and cooked up nicely. Chicken and steaks were packed well too. I don’t know if it’s just my store or what, but it’s been better than I expected.

The freshness was kind of mixed for me. A few items seemed really fresh, but others weren’t quite as good as what I usually get from similar orders. Not terrible, just a little inconsistent.

My saved card went through without any hassle, choosing a delivery time was clear, and I didn’t have to go back and fix anything. It only took a few minutes. "Wish the updates had been a little smoother"
The shopper did reach out when some items were missing, which I appreciated. I just wish the replies had been a bit quicker, and one of the substitutes felt kind of random. It wasn’t a bad experience, but I did leave feeling like it could’ve gone smoother.
